Kathy Jenkins love for glass began in 1975 when she took a stained glass class. Over the years, |
while maintaining a successful medical computer consulting business, she continued to create |
intricate stained glass windows for her many clients in Southern California. Five years ago, she |
made the decision to pursue her love for glass on a full time basis. Implementing her stained glass |
skills, she became involved with fused glass. Kathy studied under several talented fused glass |
artists including Brock Craig, Avery Anderson, Patty Gray, and Lisa Vogt. These artists helped her |
to hone her skills and apply them to her own work. Utilizing glass, kilns, sandblasting, and finishing |
tools she now creates functional and decorative glass pieces for the home. She has created glass |
tile backsplashes for rustic mountain homes as well as platters, plates, lighting |
sconces, and many other items that reflect her love of the mountains, ocean and desert. |
Kathy maintains a studio in her home in La Quinta and resides there as well |
as in Huntington Beach, California with her husband and Cocker Spaniel Cody. |
